Subject Guides These subject guides contain suggested resources for starting your research. They list books, journals and magazines, databases, and websites that are the best sources on your topic in the VCC library. View the list organized by program and field or in alphabetical order.
How to do Research Learn about the research process and the skills you need to select an appropriate topic for your class, choose the best sources to search, search effectively and efficiently, and evaluate the information you find.
Interlibrary Loans Students and employees can request books from other libraries through the Interlibrary loan program. Request any of the following type of resource:
Citation & Style Guides Guides to the common citation styles used at VCC. One part of a research paper is a reference list or bibliography. When you write a research paper it is required that you properly credit or "cite" the materials you have used. Ask your instructor which style guide you should use.
