All of the library's databases and eJournals are available from off campus to current VCC students and employees.
Our databases and eJournals are subscription services, and they are available exclusively for VCC users. To use them from off campus, students and employees must identify themselves as members of the VCC community.
You will be asked to sign into the databases when you try to use them.
Login Instructions
Technical Note: If you have a firewall installed on your system, please make sure it has either been turned off or configured properly. You must also have cookies enabled for your browser.- Go to Articles, Journals, Magazines located on the main VCC Library webpage.
- Click on the name of the database you want to search.
- A login screen will appear, asking you to login to myVCC.
- Enter your Student ID Number e.g. 000112356.
- In the Password box, enter your password.
- Click Login.
Students
- Students sign into the databases the same way they sign into myVCC: with your Student ID number and your password.
- Go to Indexes and Databases, located on the main VCC Library webpage.
- Click on the name of the database you want to search.
- A login screen will appear, asking you to login to myVCC.
- In the userID box, enter your Novell network login.
- In the Password box, enter your password.
- Click Login.
Employee
- Employees sign into the databases using their VCC network login and your usual network password.
Research Assistance
The library's Subject Guides are a great resource for your research. They recommend the best databases to search for different topics, as well as suggesting books, websites, and other resources.
