New VCC Library search
The library is happy to announce our new search, launched on Monday, July 10, which includes a number of changes you will love:
- The new search lets you explore much more electronic resources than ever before, at the same time as books, media, and other items in the Library. Through the search, you can simultaneously search almost 100% of our online database subscriptions to discover journal articles, e-books, streaming videos, government documents, newspapers, technical reports, conference proceedings, audio-visual materials, dissertations and more.
- The new search includes at the top of the results page the subject guides created by your VCC librarians for your specific courses and program.
- You can rank the results of your search by relevance or by publication date, and choose a variety of filtering options including refining your searches by subject, resource type or by peer-reviewed and scholarly source status.
- Entering the title of a journal article into the search box will retrieve the full-text in just a couple of clicks.
In summary, our new search allows the Library to provide better access to our expanding digital collections!
We will be further refining our search in the weeks leading up to the fall term. During this period, if you have any difficulty finding the information you are looking for, or if you have any feedback or questions, do not hesitate to contact us firstname.lastname@example.org
